It requires a neutral wire to complete the installation. The instructions were great to follow, making it easy to set up the light switch.

No home hub is required to control the light switches; just a healthy Wi-Fi connection will do the job in hand.

It comes in a pack of four so you can set them up throughout your home.

The smart light switch is compatible with Amazon Echo devices or Google Assistant to bring you a hands-free experience.

You can also control it remotely from the smartphone app.

From the App, you can create schedules for vacation mode; this replicates you being at home by turning the lights on/off randomly.

The App will also allow you to monitor the status of your smart light switch and turn it off if you left it on.

Key Features

  • Dimensions: 5” x 5” x 5”
  • Neutral wire required
  • Voice control
  • Alexa and Google Assistant
  • Vacation mode
  • Group control

What Other People Say

The light switches are a great addition to their smart home. The instructional video supplied in the App was very detailed and easy to follow. They used theirs to control the outside lights, and after a week of using them, they are entirely in love.

After trying a few smart switches, one customer was convinced they were the best smart light switches for your money. The installation was quick; if you already had a neutral wire, otherwise, it could take a little bit longer. They had there’s linked with Alexa and Google Home because why not?

Final Verdict

Considering you get four in the pack, this is an incredibly good deal. You get most of the same features as the ecobee+, but four times as many devices and $20 cheaper. Alexa’s voice controls worked well, but they were slightly delayed when you compare it to other products.

And that was the main problem with this Wi-Fi light switch; it was just a bit to slow to perform the actions. Their smart light switches were able to group lights and schedule them to suit your daily routine—an overall great device for the money, just a little slow performing.

What We Liked

  • Installation was easy
  • Connects to SmartLife
  • Voice Controls

What We Didn’t Like

  • Poor wiring diagram
  • Deep switch

What Other People Say

“The light switch was pretty Sweet,” one customer mentioned. The built-in temperature and light sensor worked very well; they also really enjoyed using the smart on/off settings. Their main gripe was about the limited Alexa functions; they felt like it could have done more.

The best part for most people was the HomeKit functionality; it worked with all there Apple smart home products. People were also very pleased with how easy the light switch was to install. One customer used it with their ecobee thermostat.

Final Verdict

One of the most significant benefits of the ecobee Switch + is being able to customize the lights with your voice. But the best part by a mile, is, not having to ask at all. The smart on/off sensors meant you didn’t have to do a thing, and if you link it to a thermostat, you regulate the temperature of your home.

Overall it’s a great device; the whole thing was easy to install, setup, and to make it better, you had multiple control options. It’s compatible with several third-party products like Apple HomeKit, SmartThings, IFTTT, Google, and Alexa. But the biggest issue was the lack of flexibility scheduling the lights.

But This Is The Best Smart Light Switch

For me, it has to be the GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Smart Switch; in my eyes, it has the best compatibility options.

The Z-Wave function means it can integrate into your smart home more comfortably than other brands. And to make it better, this smart switch is a lot cheaper than other brands.

Granted, it doesn’t have built-in Alexa, which is probably why it’s cheaper. Overall I love this switch you have plenty of color options to suit you home, and it works fantastically for the price.

If you need Alexa built-in to the switch, then the best option is the ecobee Switch+.
