Before I start talking about the website, I want to explain a little bit about myself and why I started the blog Automated Outlet.

Ever since I was a child, I loved technology, and everything about it (I know it sounds cliche, but it’s true).
I loved that it could take me to a different planet of wonder and imagination.
As I grew older, smart gadgets had started to arrive in shops, instantly I knew this would be huge.
By the time I was a teenager, I had already started dabbling in smart technology; every Christmas and Birthday, I would ask for the latest technology.
By the time I left home, I was already well into my smart home journey. Friends would come to my house and marvel at things I could make it do.
And it was then that people began to ask me to help them start a smart home too.
I looked back to where I started and released how hard it had been, and how many times I had to learn through trial and error. I didn’t want that for people like you, people like you, that are reading this now.
It was never easy finding the information you needed, all the info was scatted across several websites. This wasn’t good enough, and things had to change. This is why in 2019 (A lot later than I should have), I started Automated Outlet.
I wanted to design a blog where people wouldn’t have to waste there time browsing through multiple websites. Instead, they could come to one and get all the information.
So, here we are, ready to help!

The mission is simple, we want to keep users up to date with everything surrounding smart home technology. The goal is to make smart home technology more accessible to everyone, no matter what your technical knowledge is like.
