#1 – iRobot Braava Jet M6

You have the option of connecting this robot mop to Amazon Alexa, but this does require you to have a home hub to complete this action.

The iRobot Braava Jet M6 all offers app control, which allows you to set schedules, start the clean, or change your preferences.

It uses the iRobots iAdapt 3.0 navigation system to start working its way around the house and navigate around and under objects.

They also use a smart mapping system that allows the cleaning robot to map each room of the house; this way it never misses the important areas.

This will enable you to individually schedule rooms for different days or add keep out zones.

How you want the robot to clean the house is up to you, all you have to do is set the areas.

Once the robot mop starts to run low on battery, it will automatically return to the changing and resume the cleaning when fully charged.

And finally, the Braava Jet M6 uses imprint technology, which allows your Roomba and Braava to clean in sequence.

Key Features

  • Dimensions: 10 x 10.6 x 3.5
  • Control via the app
  • iAdapt 3.0 navigation
  • Smart mapping
  • Imprint technology
  • Alexa integration

What Other People Say

One customer liked to use the Braava M6 in conjunction with their Roomba i7; it saved them at least 3 hours per day cleaning. At first, they felt the robot would leave tire marks after wet mopping, but once the floors dried, no marks were left anywhere.

Another person had a dog that loved tracking in dirt and leaving pet hair everywhere; luckily, the mop saved a lot of heartache by cleaning up after the dog. Other people felt the robotic mops were a little on the expensive, but in the end, it was money well spent.

Final Verdict

The Braava M6 is one of the smartest robot mops on the market today, and let’s be honest for the high price tag you’d hope so. The App technology sets apart from the earlier models like the iRobot Braava 380T, and the smart mapping system pushes it far beyond what we’ve seen from previous Braavas.

If you’re looking for something that can work its way around the whole house, then this is the option for you. Overall this is an excellent machine more than capable of taking care of larger homes. If the area you need cleaning is on the smaller side of things, then the iRobot Braava 380t might be the better option for you.

What We Liked

  • Three mopping modes
  • Imprint technology
  • Recognizes and avoids carpet
  • Smart mapping
  • iAdapt 3.0

What We Didn’t Like

  • Larger than the Braava 240
  • Expensive

#2 – iRobot Braava jet 240

The Braava 240 Robot Mop uses a precision jet to loosen dirt and a vibrating cleaning head placed at the bottom to pick it up.

It helps you tackle daily dirt, grime, and stains, with minimal effort.

All you have to do is fill the water tank and press “Clean.” The robot vacuum will take things from there.

Their robotic mop is small in size; the dimensions are only 6.7″ x 7″ x 3.3″ which means it can fit in hard to reach areas.

It had no issues working its way around toilets, corners, and below cabinets

Which was nice considering that’s an area that needs the most attention.

You get the choice of three cleaning modes wet mopping, damp mopping, and dry sweeping. These cleaning modes are changed automatically.

The robotic mop uses overly sized pads that overlap the machine; this helps the mop get into the skirting boards.

And, so you don’t have to touch the dirty and wet pad the robot mob has easy to eject button. Other features include invisible boundaries.

Key Features

  • Dimensions: 6.7” x 7” x 3.3”
  • One-touch cleaning
  • 1-year warranty
  • Precision jet spray
  • Set Boundaries
  • Great maneuvering

What Other People Say

One customer claimed their iRobot family was growing; they had already purchased the Roomba 680; they liked it so much they deiced to give the mop a try. They loved watching the little machine clean up after their children, even though they did have to scrub the floor themselves every now and then.

Another person mentioned they were a little bit apprehensive about purchasing they robotic mop, so they waited several months. They can safely say it exceeded all expectations. They also noted it was smaller than expected, and the pads need changing regularly.

Final Verdict

For the low price and small size, the iRobot Braava Jet 240 does a pretty good job of keeping your house clean. It had no problems navigating into the edges of walls and other hard to reach areas. But, unfortunately, for tough stains, it isn’t up for the job.

This results in you having to get the mop out yourself and tackling the grime. Another Downside is with their virtual barriers. They’re deleted after each use, which can become a bit of a nightmare. Overall not bad, but it’s not quite there, and it certainly won’t replace manual mopping.

What We Liked

  • Three cleaning modes
  • Very small
  • Great navigation

What We Didn’t Like

  • Small cleaning range
  • Virtual barriers are deleted after each clean

#3 – Roborock E35 Robot Vacuum

BEST 2-IN-1 ROBOT CLEANER

Roborock E35

This robotic cleaner can run for two and a half hours before it needs recharging.

When the battery starts to run low, it will automatically return to the charging station.

To start the cleaning mode, you can either use the MI Home app or for a hands-free experience; you can use Amazon Alexa.

Using the powerful 2000 Pa motor, the robotic vacuum can perform a dry sweep action before moving over to the mopping mode.

Their robotic vacuum cleans 30% than atypical robot cleaners due to the dual-gyroscopes and dual-optical motion tracking sensors.

Roborock uses 13 sensors to navigate its way around your house quickly and without random bumps. These sensors include cliff sensing, collision avoidance, and much more.

Make use of six cleaning settings, which range from quiet, balanced, turbo, max, carpet, and mopping modes. It connects to the wifi using a 2.4 GHz connection.

Key Features

  • 2000 Pa suction power
  • Six cleaning settings
  • Set Schedules
  • App control
  • Vacuums and mops floors
  • Dimensions: 13.7" x 13.8" x 3.6"

What Other People Say

They loved how powerful the suction power is; it got hid of all the hidden pet hair around the house. They were pretty amazed by how much pet hair it picked up. Another customer had been using the vacuum for a week or so, and they were delighted.

One customer mentioned they were a bit of a clean freak, but it was getting hard for them clean due to old age. They decided to go for the Roborock E35 as they felt it was the best value for money. The battery life lasted well over 2 hours before returning to the dock.

Final Verdict

There may be more advanced machines on the market, but not many are at this price. App control is an excellent feature that makes scheduling the mop to clean the floors simple. And its battery life had no problem making its way around your home.

But there were a couple of problems with the pathing mode; it was somewhat inconsistent, which resulted in missed patches of dirt. Overall not bad, but not quite there yet.

What We Liked

  • Long battery life
  • Strong suction
  • Large wheels
  • Nice app
  • Sweeps floors well

What We Didn’t Like

  • No virtual walls
  • Poor mapping
  • Mopping feature not very versatile

The W400 Shinebot comes with an all-new TidalPower cleaning system; this sprays the floor with water to soften stains.

The microfiber roller then lifts any leftover dirt and grime for the robotic vacuum to suck up using the rubber scrapper at the back.

Starting the cleaning is easy; it’s a case of filling the tank and pressing the Clean button.

The Robot mop will then begin to navigate its way around the house, leaving it spotless.

When the battery power starts running low you’ll be notified with a voice alert.

The dirty left water is then separated into different tanks; this improves the cleaning efficiency and helps to clean typical household stains.

The robot vacuum mop has three cleaning modes Path, Area, and spot mode; each mode will offer a different cleaning style.

Key Features

  • Dimensions: 11.1” x 11.5” x 4.7”
  • Four cleaning modes
  • Two tanks
  • Nine senors
  • Reusable microfiber mop
  • One-touch cleaning mode

What Other People Say

The robot cleaner appealed to them because of the clean and dirty water tank, and the rotating brush. They felt it would give the best cleaning experience. Starting was a little harder than expected, they kept getting a water tank error, which they later found out was because of an incorrectly fitted squeegee.

Another customer was delighted with the robot mop, even though it didn’t clean as well as they could, it still saved them a lot of time. They have an 800 sq ft room that the robot mop can do in one charge, which surprised them.

Final Verdict

The Shinebot W400 has a beneficial four-stage cleaning program, which performs better than the Braava 240, in my opinion. It navigates its way around the house with little effort and moves its way around clutter and under tables and chairs.

It is slightly on the larger size, so making its way around bathrooms can be tricky. The great thing about this mopping robot is, you don’t have to buy disposable floor wipes for each clean. This means over a few years, the price difference between the Braava 240 and Shinebot W400 will even out.

What We Liked

  • Uses two tanks for clean and dirty water
  • Great navigation
  • Good cleaning performance
  • Reusable microfiber roll

What We Didn’t Like

  • No return to base mode
  • Large size makes it hard to get underthings

This addition from ILIFE is an all in one cleaning robot; it’s not just a mop, it can also double as a robot vacuum which can sweep, vacuum, and damp mop.

You can use the remote control to set actions, or by using the physical buttons on the robot vacuum itself.

The self-adjustable suction nozzle is completely tangle-proof due they being no roller at the bottom of the device.

It has a high suction power, which comes from the powerful BLDC motor. In this version, it comes with a sizeable 0.75-liter dustbin, which holds more dirt than ever.

Take advantage of six cleaning settings, which include path, Edge, Spot, and auto-cleaning.

The RoadRover wheels help the robot vacuum navigate over doorsills without getting stuck. The LCD screen in the robot mops is easy to read and allows you to set cleaning schedules.

Key Features

  • Dimensions: 12.6 x 12.6 x 3.2
  • Create Schedules
  • Six cleaning modes
  • 12-month warranty
  • Large dustbin
  • Powerful suction

What Other People Say

They loved being able to take the dogs for a walk and come back to a spotless house. Everything about the robotic vacuum made them happy. The vacuum setting removed any pet hair from the floor, and by using the remote control, you could switch the settings to mop the floors.

Another person felt that after ten days of testing, this was the best robotic vacuum you could buy. They loved how it cleaned everything. The floors were always left spotless. The battery life wasn’t too bad either, and it returned to the dock to charge.

Final Verdict

It’s excellent value for money; it’s essentially two machines in one, which in the end will save you a lot of money. The whole thing is super easy to operate and can function using a remote control. The mopping mode wasn’t as thorough as the other machines we tested, but it’s not to bad if you’re looking for a touch-up.

And there are a few other areas in which it could be improved, like upgrading from the remote control to app control. It would also be nice if the robot mop could continue the cleaning cycle once it had recharged itself. We can only hope for the next version they answer come of these issues.

What We Liked

  • Great price
  • Good selection of cleaning modes
  • Returns to base
  • 2-in-1 cleaning
  • 2-hour battery life
  • Create Schedules

What We Didn’t Like

  • Gets Stuck
  • No App
  • Does continue cleaning after charging
  • Poor mopping

But This Is The Best Robot Mop

Now this machine is on the expensive side, but there is a good reason for it.

It comes with the most advanced features out of any of the robot mops on our list.

The navigation system works well, and as yet hasn’t got stuck.

And the mapping system really is something else, I can now set the mop to clean certain rooms instead of the whole house.

iRobot Braava M6

It also uses a return to base function when the battery is running low, once the charging is complete, it will take and start from the place it finished.

If your house is small I’d recommend the Braava Jet 240, it’s smaller and a lot cheaper. The one downside is it doesn’t have all the fancy feature people might be looking for.
