The Schlage Sense is built to provide users with a hands-free control over their smart lock; this does which requires a WiFi adapter.
You can assign up to 30 Guest codes, each of reach can be personalized and managed by using the mobile App.
Schlage ensures the highest level of security.
They’re certified by ANSI/BHMA to be a Grade-1 lock, which is the grade a deadbolt can receive.
And that’s not the only security feature that helps to increase the security; it uses an incredibly secure Bluetooth system and a five-pin tumbler. You have a few style options to choose from, which is always lovely to see, but this can increase the price depending on which you opt for.

#2 – Schlage Connect
This Schlage smart lock can fit on doors ranging from 1.37 to 1.75 standard.
It’s powered by four AA batteries, which are said to last over six weeks, but this all depends on how much you use the lock.
It uses Z-wave technology, so you link it to a respective hub and control the door from anywhere. In a similar fashion to the Schlage Sense, the Connect model also has the highest grade security.
It also features a tamper-proof design, with a built-in siren. The alarm can be activated in three ways, tampering, too many failed attempts, and a break-in.
You can store up to 30 personalized codes which again, can all be personalized and managed using the App. And finally, you also have the option to disable the keypad for added privacy.

Final Verdict: Schlage Locks
As you can see above, Schlage offers top-grade protection in all of their devices. They are also compatible with several third-party devices. Just between the two models above, you can use Alexa, Google Home, Apple Homekit, Wink, Smartthings, and so much more.
Another nice thing with Schlage locks, is they are now compatible with the Amazon Key App, which allows you to receive in house delivery. One last thing I’d like to mention, Schlage smart locks are incredibly easy to install, taking around 30-40 minutes.

The 2nd gen smart lock is a lot easier to install than its predecessor, all the hardware is color-coded (Thank God), so know you know which cable goes where.
It only takes a few screws to install and be up and running before you know it, you don’t even have to be good at DIY.
You don’t have to worry about not knowing your doors stats, the smart lock knows your locations and will lock and unlock the door for you.
Users can be managed by using their interactive App; this way, you know precisely whos entered your house. The Kwikset Kevo can also be integrated with Amazon Alexa to allow you to check the status of your lock without moving or using your hands.

Final Verdict: Kwikset Locks
Kwikset provides excellent locks at a great place, one thing I love about them is, they’re always listening to customers problems and make the necessary adjustments. They’re also very affordable, with the average being around $100, and considering what you get, they are for sure the best budget option.
The security of the devices is Grade 2, which, as you might have noticed, is just below Schlage. Installing the smart locks takes around 30 minutes, and then a further 15 minutes to set up the smart applications — overall, an excellent budget option.

Things They Have In Common
The first thing I’d like to mentions is, both companies work very hard at providing their customers the best smart locks.
They also make sure there’s something out there for anyone’s smart home system. Both brands have Bluetooth and wireless options for hands-free opening.
Another similarity is the easy to use nature of there respective Apps.
Both brands provide the user with a nicely laid out App, which helps you to control your smart home. And finally, both brands are relatively similar in price, although Schlage does then to be slightly more expensive.
Head To Head: Kwikset Vs Schlage
By putting both Schlage and Kwikset head to head, you’ll get the best idea on which brand to choose. Who do you think will win?

I mentioned it earlier, but just in case you missed it, both brands are relatively similar in price, but it really depends on what you’re looking for. A basic Schlage lock will set back around $80-$90; if you’re looking for the top of the range, you’re looking at $170+.
Kwikset tends to be on the cheaper side; for a bottom shelf lock around $60-$70, for something better, you could spend $160+.

Installation
Both Kwikset/Schlage focus on being easy to install, and most of the time will take a screwdriver and a little time to get them up and running. I really wouldn’t be able to pick a winner on this one, so it will have to go down as another tie.

When it comes to security, there can only be one winner, Schlage; it offers the highest grade security for deadbolt locks. Some even come with a built-in siren to protect you against forced entry. Kwikset used to have few security issues with have since been addressed.

Design
In my opinion, Schlage tends to have nicer designs; they look neat, tidy, and well made. The restive keypads give you a feel of greater security. Another great thing with their locks is, they combined all the security features and put them into one lock.
Kwikset tends to lock a little bit cheaper unless you’re willing to fork out a couple of hundred dollars. They also tend to be slightly lacking in features.

It has to be Schlage, the locks look great and work fantastically. Schlage provides you with a lock for any of your connectivity needs.
If you’re looking to increase the overall security of your home, you can be guaranteed Schlage to do just that.
I mentioned before that Schlage is known for providing the best security features, and it only takes a little bit of research before you notice it’s true.
I haven’t got anything against Kwikset locks, but compared to Schlage, there isn’t a lot of competition.
