How To Connect Your Arlo Cameras To Your TV

This has to be one of my favorite things about connecting my security cameras to Google Home. And the whole process isn’t even that hard; it’s just knowing where to go. But I’m here to walk you through it.

The first thing I should note is, you will require a TV with Chromecast built-in or the Chromecast device for this to work. I’m going to presume that all your devices are set up, like your Arlo cameras and Google Home, are synced together; if not, then go back and finish off the steps above.

  1. Make sure Chromecast is set up on the same WiFi networks as Arlo and Google Home
  2. Open Google Home App
  3. Find the Settings Button
  4. Find “Google Assistant services” by scrolling down
  5. Tap More Settings > Devices > Add
  6. Click on the devices you would like to add; you can select multiple devices
  7. Finish by tapping Add

As I said, it isn’t hard to set up; it’s just knowing where to go.

As always there are a few things I’d like you to take away, to start with, make sure you’re picking a compatible Arlo camera, it simply won’t work otherwise.

When you’re setting everything up, don’t forget to change the name of your Arlo security cameras. If you can’t pronounce the word, there’s a good chance Google Assistant can’t either.

And lastly, follow the steps I’ve laid out for you, and you’ll be fine.
